On this day 59 years ago November 5, 1965
a prototype of 1966 Shelby GT 350H was sent to the rental car company Hertz Corporation for testing.

The first Hertz Shelby GT350 was produced

The start of the cult cars !

I think the wheels look good. Anyone know what size tyres are on the car in those pics

They're Goodyear blue dots,so should be 775/15.

I notice the driver's seat back is reclined further than the passenger. Were they like that when new?

1965 door panel and glove box door. This is the first Hertz prototype 6S048, a long lost converted carryover car.
