Now comes the fun part
Few months past now , any update on the reassembling ? :)
Drivetrain, brakes, fuel system, exhaust and exterior are done. Working on electrical which is going more smoothly than I thought. Next up is to complete the engine bay, start-up, test drive then on to interior, side glass and convertible top. Hoping to be on the road in late Spring. Comments and constructive criticism are welcom!

Repaint the horns to cover the bare gasket and unpainted rivets. Don't try to short cut and only touch up . Paint the entire horn for best results.
A few items: Rear bumper guards should be body color, horns should be all black, by-pass hose/clamps on engine should be blue.
Thank you Bob, very helpful. I'm try to decide the extent of sound deadener based on the various differences I have seen. One question though, I have seen the spring cover bolts with the threads in the engine compartment and others, claiming to be unrestored, with threads inside the wheel well. Thoughts
looks realy nice !

Most typical to see the threads on the inside of the engine bay in the context of 68 Shelby.
Really nice work, keep the photos coming. THANKS
Looks very nice. Given its a 4 speed are you also using the smog equipment?
