best wishes to this little one, as it embarks to a different keeper and home
c'est la vie
I do not think that there is anyone else on this planet, that has had as many adventures with a Cobra as Mr Hank Williams. It would be a shame to restore CSX2227. It is perfect the way it is.

I say that a lot when I watch Pawn Stars and see someone bring in something that has been in the Family for Generations.

Also when there are multiple inheritors to an estate things may need to be sold to distribute the estate as required by the will/trust.
It should not be restored. It belongs in a "Shelby" collection not in someone's garage next to their Ferraris and Lambos. The Miller or Lynn Park collection would be good places. Or even the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center. They have several continuation Cobras but not a 2000 series - that started the story.
A nice video of Hank and his car.
Always admired that car. Hank had it perfect with those wheels. Great color.
Great car, great man. I hope whoever buys it understands what they are getting.
SOLD - $ 2,287,500.00 :)
Any idea who bought it?

The Torques do look great on a Cobra! He got the color perfect as well.
It's a great car.
Sorry for bringing this older thread up again - but are those Wheels still available (center lock Torques for standard hub) ?

Originals made by American Racing Equipment in cast magnesium, no. They have been obsolete multiple decades now. The 6" wide Cobra only front wheels have been obsolete since Shelby American shut down in California long ago.
Thank you Dan. Too bad - they really do look great !
Was admiring those very wheels this past weekend at SAAC. So happy to see the new owner bring the car out this year, and enjoying it out on the parade laps.
I think the Dragon Snakes also used that wheel.
I used to have a set of 6 inch magnesium bolt on ones which I sold to Ron Treadway, and then they moved on to Drew Serb who started And runs the Cobra Experience museum. Also used to have several magnesium Trans Am Torque thrust d wheels.

I saw this beauty at SAAC 50. along with its matching car cover!!
