Title: Bell housing finish
Post by: Peter L. on April 17, 2024, 11:56:30 AM
Finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel for KR 4052.
Quick question. What finish should be on the bellhousing (4-speed)? Were they painted with the engine, installed after, partial overspray?
            Thanks, Pete.

Painted while attached to the motor. The bellhousing is natural cast aluminum iron with minimal blue overspray.

Cast aluminum for an iron bellhousing? Hmm...

Picture just sent to me, a little more than typical in my opinion

Perhaps the lesson here is that there is a lack of absolutes, so be wary of making such?  :-\

Anyone who can recreate that on the bell is...um...very talented.  ::)
