can anyone tell me the correct size washer and finish for attaching a/c - heater box. I think the washer I have is close but might be a little to small?
I saw this post earlier - unfortunately my original AC box is in storage so I don't have any photos. All the washers I've removed over the years have been black, having been painted over, I assume when the car was built. The area under the bolt is unpainted.
well it looks like I found the answer, the washer that is used on 69-70 heater/ AC box to mount it to firewall and cover the adjustment slots is 2 1/4 inch and is natural and is usually cover by the black sealant that seals holes from engine fumes.
