Any pics on how the headlight wiring loom extension was modified-if at all- from the standard 4 headlight system to the Shelby 2 headlight system. Same headlight switch? Thanks
Wires are cut off and sometimes wrapped in tape
Early cars had the 69 regular mustang high beam 2 prong inner wire cut off and taped with silver duct tape then later they used the 1970 type wire that only had a 3 prong plug for single headlight system.
My early car had silver tape wrap. It was so crude I thought it was a poor repair done by a prior owner.

Thanks Pete and Ed. It came up in discussion on wiring on my 69-70 Shelby FB page and I didn't recall any cut wires on my original headlight harnesses but have not gone into the garage and investigated. I figured mine are original because the Headlight ends the plastic connector was removed to fit the Marchal bulbs that are in my Marchal headlights(not sealed beam) in my car. I doubt it came that way from DuBois in 1970 but suspect when the car went from Belgium to France the original Lucas' were replaced with amber CIBIs and possibly the Marchals were added with the amber bulbs for the headlights as the car came back to the states in 1985 with amber bulbs. While not correct in my eyes the Marchal headlights look cool and my brights on my headlights are definitely a lot brighter than Ford sealed Beam FoMoCo headlights.
