odgt350,
You'll be wanting Ford Corporate Dark Blue. NPD has what you want in a rattle can as Painht, Engine Enamel, Ford Corpo / AP-EB. Not exactly cheap at $18.75 a can, but it is a close match. There was a discussion on this subject a couple of months ago (which I can't find). Good luck with your project.
this is summit 11.99
we get it at the local auto parts I believe its Ford corporate blue at around 8-9 bucks a can plus tax
I used the Eastwood epoxy. Color is good, might be a little shiny for some. Seems to hold up well.

Would suggest since you want to do it once you don't use rattle can but go with real paint with a hardener and a bit of flattener.
Just trying to help
Thanks for everybodys response.
I'm in Australia , so I'd need to see if there would be something here that i can purchase .Motor is still in car .
So can would be easier to spray.
Regards Rob .
what ever brand you choose make sure you purchase Ford Corporate Blue
Best of luck !
If having the paint mixed to be used for spraying with a gun, be aware that just going by the DAR-13358 code is no guarantee of a match. Most would accept the engine paint NPD sells in spray cans as a reasonable match. The formula was not always consistent at the Ford plant either, so it's like a moving target.
Point being is that there are a lot of variations with what's available today, spray can or paint store mix.
We have automotive paint suppliers that will mix the proper paint and load it into aerosol can. You might have that option in your area. 8)
Does anybody have pictures of there motor that have sprayed with Dupli Color DE 1621
For comparison, mine is DE1606
Looks nice
Thanks
If you choose to use Dupli-Color brand in a spray can, you definitely want the DE1606 as recommended above.
That particular color is a very nice match to the original.

He covers all types of paint and color samples. Take your time on deciding. I have read that the aerosol paint will not set until you run the engine to normal temps.

I would caution against using the POR 15 in that it sprays out a dark and different shade of blue that is not desirable .It is far enough off of the normal that It has been a source for deductions in Shelby/Mustang concours venues,
