It's a 65 Mustang according to the Grill, Grill Emblem, Head Lights......
It's a rare 64 1/2 Shelby. P/S, P/B, A/C and generator

And soon to be 3 carbs... :D
TOB
They are working on staging a photo for a magazine article. I forget where it appeared. It's not a Shelby - no export brace.
A little hard to tell on my phone but it does not look like the upper shock mount is a Mustang one, I also thought Cougar.
Roy
looks like hipo / dual point / generator/ mustang / ac/ no export brace / power brakes so drum in that era
Still has the pony on the grille. This is probably some magazine editor's car that he's scamming parts for or it could be Shelby's secretary's car.

I think you are correct. The hood bumper threw me off. It's right where it should be.

Too early to be a Cougar - 65s in background......
Plenty of early features: the generator and power steering reservoir location stand out the most.
Photo at a dealer who sold hop-up parts?
Note white Mustang right behind the first car, with steel wheels/ no covers. And another white '65 behind that.
Coincidence that the mechanics are dressed in white, like Shelby's guys?
Hmmmm.
