Title: 1969 Shelby Hood Hinge Question
Post by: nightmist67 on November 27, 2023, 11:59:24 AM
My 1969 GT350 was built in late December 1968.  During the restoration process we discovered that it has 1967/1968 style hood hinges installed on the car.  Are these hood hinges correct for a car assembled in that timeframe, or were they likely a replacement installed by a previous owner?

'67 and '68 are different from each others, '67 through mid '68 was a bit different than mid-'68 on, see attached.

Is what you have match either of these?

I can't speak on '69-'70 hood hinges.

Pretty sure 1968 Shelbys used stock Mustang springs

JD the picture of the 67 hinge was also used into mid 68 production . The picture you have marked as 68 was used mid 68 through 69 production. Change in rivets for 1970.
