Well Phil, besides the obvious ones (Archway, Berry, Dockery, Rice & Holman), the two Southeastern VA Shelby dealers are there (Bowditch in Newport News (1965-66) and Kimnach in Norfolk (1967-70)). A friend also bought a new 1967 GT500 from Bruce-Flournoy in Norfolk, apparently a dealer transfer. The other interesting one to me is the Norris Ford emblem. They were a big high performance dealer between DC and Baltimore in the late 60s- early 70s, sponsoring drag cars and offering special dealer high performance packages.
Very cool collection, if you ever decide to let go of the Bowditch emblem let me know- my 66 GT350 was sold new there. Thanks for sharing your collection.
Dave
nice!

Very nice. Is that an emblem or a decal, and do you know what time frame it might be? The one in Phil's collection is from 1967 on into the late 70s, but I have no idea what was used earlier. For all I know they might have had license plate frames. If you have a higher resolution photo of the emblem on 5S296, I'd sure love to see it. Thanks.
Dave
Koons Ford decal here

^^^ that would be very easy to reproduce.

The emblem was on the car when I purchased it in 2018 - here is a picture of it in 2018. It is a metal emblem, when we restored the car, we put it back where it was - I assume it was on the car when sole new in 1965 - as the car was purchased from Bowditch Ford.
Let me know if you want a better picture of it - I can take a close up if you'd like -
Dave
For those looking for a Jack Loftus Ford (Hinsdale IL0 or River Oaks Ford (Calumet City IL) they did not use metal cast tags. Decals only.
Dave,
Here is a close up pic of the Bowditch emblem-
Dave
Here is mine from Healy Motors, Edmonton, Alberta.
By any chance, would anyone have an image of a period correct one for Fuller Ford in Cincinnati?
This is the period correct emblem for Metro Ford, Calgary's Shelby dealership.
another bowditch style in the left side near bottom

Nice to have and great wall art but I can't imagine junking up a GT350 with a dealers advertising regardless if the original selling dealer or not. But that is just me . I know others think differently.

Bo,
Yes, I am on the warpath for one too. My 66, SFM6S1342, was probably the last Shelby sold by Bowditch (or else the highest serial number number sold). I'd run hot or cold about installing one, as there are no holes in the original taillight panel for one. But would still be cool to have. Now that I know what one looks like and have a good photo, it should be easier to show folks what I'm looking for. I'll let you know if I scare up more than one....
Dave
The Original Bowditch Dealer Emblem, did it have pins on the backside or was it glued on the back of 5S296.
Looked at old pictures of my car and there are no holes drilled. Bought the car in Feb.1988.
Thanks, Texas Swede
Hey Bo -
hope all is good with you - the Bowditch Emblem has pins - similar to the GT 350 emblem
Dave
Thanks Dave, I am fine, what about you. You solved the problem, my car didn't come with the Bowditch Dealer Emblem. Now I am going to watch my 14-year-old grandson in Sweden placing ice hockey in Stockholm. Can watch in Swedish Hockey TV.
Again, thanks, Texas Swede
Welcome Texas Swede -
Most all ok here - my grandson turns 1 next week... hope yours wins the game -
