Title: Moving my baby home
Post by: GT350Lad on July 21, 2018, 08:51:18 AM
Just now, tow truck driver and I are pushing 66 Shelby into garage after being away 8 years, it's banging and clunking like a bowling ball in the boot, he says "mate that's not good" my response "that's the Detroit locker diff and it's all good, it thinks we are losing traction"
I love these cars

Yes what's not to love! They stay with you even when separated. Stronger pull than an old flame.

I thought the Detroit Lockers were only on the 1965 cars and they did away with it for the 1966 cars

It was a dealership option, wasn't stock standard on the 66's. Didn't know myself until Howard Pardee enlightened me.  :)

Lockers are a popular item for '66 owners to add to their cars. I put one in my 6S087 and love it.
