Oh dear
Car built 12/19/1967... Shouldn't it have the knee pad?
I believe it should. It appears to have both quarters replaced as well.
Im not aware of any "transition" period. The 1967 style dash ended at the end of December 1967. It was followed by the dash without a knee pad in January 1968.
Im open to evidence to the contrary.

I have found a Thursday Dec 28 build (BaT car)without the knee pad but cannot confirm it is original. Modified car with rust repair done it appears(956). My selection is limited.
Its possible this is odd ball, hard to say because of the restoration work.
I will keep an open mind. 956 shows a scheduled 12/28 date. We need to find the actual build date, which could be later
Marti report says 956 built on Schedule.
Got it thanks
The problem with BaT all too often they allow misleading posts to stand or be posted after auction by seller and when I try and correct most times they won't post the "correction". Here is my latest. Lets set if BaT lets it post or they delete it. Bottom pic both sides look like this so quarters replaced.
The car has a lot of issues
The dealer has a lot of issues, including spreading a lot of incorrect information.
BaT has a lot of issues. They dont like people contradicting the paying customers.

+1 nice posts on that car. I was surprised mine post was eventually "accepted". More times than not it isn't on reserve not met cars.
A new post says there are pictures of this car after the fire. If anyone is a BaT member can they reach out for those photos?

it is ashame that people do not reach out to knowledgeable folks when attempting to "Document" their cars. a simple "Marti Report" is just not enough. and given his track record lately, I am beginning to question his validity.
The car is on it's 3 engine. The second engine got blown up at Watkins Glen during a Shelby event I'm told. Same owner blew up the original engine in the 70s.
Well, he said he really didnt want to sell it anyway.
