Title: Autolite 4100 600 cfm
Post by: Shelbybo1 on September 25, 2023, 05:19:09 PM
I have a recent rebuilt original Autolite 4100 600 cfm. carb

I am now in need of the correct fuel filter; most of the ones i have experienced, the diameter of the opening where the filter screws into the carb it too narrow.

Any recommendations.
Thanks

Pretty sure you need an Autolite or motorcraft part # FG-15.

The FG-14 is a smaller diameter and might be the problem if you are trying to use one of those.

FG-15 is the correct filter. There is a big difference with a Motorcraft when compared to Autolite or Rotunda FG-15 filter in availability ,shape and market price(if you can find one). That is as it relates to Aseemblyline look. The Motorcraft is a much more available lower price alternative that works fine but it just looks a little different.  The assemblyline filters are overkill on a driver car but necessary on a concours car.
