Hank Williams is now 2nd oldest original owner with his 289 he bought in late 64 or early 65.
I think Dave Harper was just ahead or behind Hank with his car that he bought as soon as he saw it on display at the Pomona Fairgrounds - he passed in 2007 and I don't know if one of his kids still has the car or not. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/modestobee/name/david-harper-obituary?id=13357571
I have a couple of Herbie Hancock's albums, I still listen to them, he was very interesting! Future Shock is one of my faves!
Simply "far out"

The Herbie purchase story is almost as wild as the fact he has kept the car all these years!
At least Hank is still driving his for shows to display last time I saw him. Certainly wonderful that both Herbie and Hank still have these original purchase Cobras.

Herbie's was at the LASAAC show a couple years ago. Not him just his car.
