Is there a diagram or set of instructions out there on the proper installation of the spare tire, plate, jack assembly, air cannister etc. for both a '69 and '70 Shelby including whether there is some sort of round padding that fits in somewhere. I'd just like to get it right after seeing so many different applications. Thanks.
Illustration is on the jacking instructions stuck to the underside of the trunk lid. https://www.npdlink.com/product/decal-trunk-jack-instructions/126152

Here is another one from a 500 original mile car.
Canister location mounting varies. What car do you have?
May 5th built car with cannister location.

Hey Gary, Great pic of my trunk and spare tire but that is #2060, my GT350 not the 500 mile original GT500. I did try to get it installed correctly though... :)

LOL. Thanks. I had the pics of your 2 cars intertwined in the "500 mile" file. I'll move it. Here is the correct pic of the 500 trunk.. EDIT-I already had created a diff file with your car pics. The last 2 pics are of your car if you want them.
Sure...I took several but yours might be better pics... I wish I'd known who you were if I were hanging around and not checking out the other cars. It's always good to put a face with a name... :)

Same here. I'm always searching out owners at MCACNs or other shows. I'll swing back around at least once. The owner of the GT500 was really nice and let me get up close to check out his car. I should have taken a lot more pics of it.
