  Original vs Repo.  How can you tell if a a 69 Shelby still retains it original Fiberglass fenders. Thanks Steve

The easiest way is if the fender to apron mounting strip is fiberglass then it is a repro. Some of the newest repro fenders have a metal bonding strip like original which in that case you have to look at the metal stiffing gussets and how they appear. The back side color of the fiberglass, texture , bonding material and application , and added supports are other ways to tell also .Those are the best ways I can think of off hand . I will let others fill in the blanks.

All u have to do if not sure is look or feel underside fiberglass fender above the tire at 12;oo position about 6'' or so for the s9ms eng #
