Title: 116059 meet 116059
Post by: Coralsnake on June 22, 2018, 06:48:03 PM
I have always wondered if two cars could have the same consecutive unit number? The answer is yes...

8R02J116059 built in San Jose (on eBay now)

8T03S116059 was built in New Jersey and became a 1968 Shelby.

I thought the 3 plants staggered their consecutive number start points.  One started at 100000, one started at 250000 and so on.

I have a feeling I partially know the answer has to do with the volume of cars built and a plant running out of numbers, but inquiring minds want to know!
