Title: Buck Tag Rotation Number
Post by: SJS68 on November 12, 2022, 07:35:50 PM
I'm sure this has been done to death before, however here goes.

The cars history checks out via the registry and marti report. I also have the original build sheet, problem is the roation numbers don't match. I have 247 on the buck tag, and 265 on the build sheet. Do I own a dud?

The car is a 1968 GT500KR.

Cheers

A dud?

Each car literally had multiple "rotation" numbers.

Thanks Pete,

So based on that I can assume all is good....and that the buck tag is the correct rotation number that would have been put on the car once built, and the build sheet roation number is based on when the car was ordered?? Just curious now...

I haven't seen your buck tag, but if you send me a picture, I can probably tell you more.

Cars had rotation numbers for the welding process, the trim process, the assembly process and probably some other things...
