Well, not really.

Dave will have something to say about this.
This is 3900 BEFORE they buffed the paint. :o
Why does a KR have early style quarters(reflectors) ???
Bid accordingly. 8)

^^That picture says it all!!!
I found the most original back in 1995, #3444. It has been on BJ twice previously, still about 98% original. Kept track of the car until just recently sold again on BJ, time #3 across the carpet. Previous owner was from Arizona.
Yes, may have had the # wrong, working from memory

Reading comprehension is not someones strong suit. The entire statement is false
From the auction house's description: "....a rim-blow tilt steering wheel"
Must have been one of those prototype rim blows. ;D
wasn't 03900 at RK Motors for a long time with a fat number on it?
Thats the car! If you cant sell it, send it to the auction. Someone who doesnt know better will be the new owner
"A rebuilt factory chassis hangs a correct 9" axle, complete with correct 3.00 gears, between factory power steering, power front disc and rear drum brakes, and 10-spoke Shelby alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear bias-ply tires."
Intersting wording... ;)

Yea and when the alcohol wears off and someone tells you what you really bought........priceless
I know I am very naive (or just had good parenting), but I find it sad an auction company does not "call" this false description for what it is when the cars history is well known.
I watched a similar situation with the same auction house several years ago, and they chose to refute the hard documentation submitted to them on a high dollar car.

I show 42 yellow convertibles and more than 7 a/c cars....if they are reading off the Marti report they might be looking at yellow, GT500KR, AUTOMATIC TRANS, convertibles, but that's not what is written.
If you have seen one of these yellow Shelby convertibles, please contact me....

Pete I think it might be harder to find the real 3900 than the cars on this list! ;D
Hey, I only have twenty years on this project, how much longer could it take :D
Well years ago the majority of it was buried on the Northwest side of Milwaukee behind Mark's Mustangs shop/house. Maybe we should go buy metal detectors and go searching? Oh, wait, we'll need bulletproof vests too. Neighborhood hasn't gotten better ;D
I suspect we would find the remains of a few other Shelbys there. Mark had a history of creative restorations.
As somebody who visited there as a young man even before I knew that kind of "creativity" was wrong I was certain it was wrong!
I guess the word got spread that this car has a checkered past. High bid $130,000 reserve not met. Watched the auction while working in the garage yesterday. Surprised they left the early style quarter reflectors.

Just seeing a yellow Shelby vert is rare enough. I think in my following/noticing Shelby verts, especially yellow, over 30+ yrs, I've seen maybe 2. The first one seen was WAY back in 1989 :o
I almost bought 3762 in NJ back in '15. Advertised as matching numbers, but wasn't. Couldn't make a deal. Last I saw it, it was in Europe.
