Yes a repro or later service . It is not assemblyline
THe snake cutout is the most glaring difference. Somebody paid 999 for it? OUCH!
Can anyone post a photo of an original vs. a reproduction? I would love to see the difference.
Both originals 1 on the car and second never used ( sorry no repros )

In the context of assemblyline vs. other I have not seen any poorly routed out wood not well matching the contour of the snake on assemblyline handles. I have only seen the poorly routed out wood on later Ford service replacements and reproduction. With that said the handle in the picture on the bottom is well within the poor category IMO of not matching the contour of the snake. That one would typically not pass in concours venue class's where service replacement or reproduction is not allowed. At least if it is not missed by informed judges.
The one in the picture on the bottom was given to me in mid 70's and it was in the Ford box so I believe it's a original replacement part , besides I don't think that at that time there was too many people making repros . What do you think about this one ? I think mine looks better :-\ https://www.ebay.com/itm/265772279019?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050

Doesn't say it was sold - seller probably got tired of the hate mail.
This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

That one in the link is a early service part because besides the less then good routing of the wood the set screw is on the side facing the driver. Later versions have the poor routing plus the set screw on the back side . The set screw on the back side where it is not seen is cosmetically better but it is different then assemblyline.
