Title: 1967 Headlight harness
Post by: Coralsnake on August 24, 2022, 11:40:16 AM
If you have an original 1967 Headlight wiring harness for a 1967 Shelby can you can confirm the color of the two headlight plugs that come out of the harness at the lower corners of the radiator???

Im working with a vendor to get some more accurate reproductions.

My last thought is these plugs are color coded and the information maybe in the engineering manual. Sometimes connector colors are noted in the drawings. If you have a 67 electric engineering manual can you please check?

Apparently some plugs are brown and some are red.

Can anyone shed light in why?

Here are some brown connectors on the loom  to the front for the headlight sections to plug into, early '67 double-digit car.

Note left side has some red wires into the brown connector.

(Also the red arrows were for another topic, not this one)

Regardless of which color plug on the headlight harness the male plug on the separate headlight pigtail will have a corresponding matching color plug. Brown to brown or red to red.
