Prior ownership played a large part in the final sale price.

Considering that the "continuation Mark IV's" were being sold new for $995K at VIR 10 years ago or so, this seems cheap?

As I recall, there were three of them there the first day. Two were complete and running (and on the track) and one was and one was an incomplete tub. The three had all sold by the afternoon.

Wonder what happened to the original Gurney Weslake engine that was in the former Bondurant car? Was one of the finest ERA GT 40's I've ever seen! Hard to beat Guardsman Blue!
