Title: Tachometer lightbulb
Post by: deathsled on May 27, 2018, 02:19:58 PM
My tachometer only illuminated the right half or red line area at night. Is there a left-hand bulb that could be out or is this typical. I know in my 89 Saleen the dash lights cast irregular light to the gauges but this is apparently normal for Saleens from that era.
Any input humorous or otherwise is welcome.

Mine lights up unevenly - brighter on the left and right and dimmer in the middle.  But even the "bright" areas are so dim it is effectively useless at night. As a matter of fact, I thought the bulb was burned out until I tried checking it in my garage at night with all the lights out. Then I could see a dim glow.

Mine is the same and I thought there was a problem.  Glad to see it is normal.

Thank you gentlemen. It's an automotive quirk I can live with. Shelby gremlin but beautiful cars.
