Title: Aluminum Engine ID Tag location - 351 Windsor
Post by: BlackJadeGT350 on March 23, 2022, 04:47:09 PM
Hi all,

I'm reviewing the MCA 1969 - 1970 Shelby Concours Trailered/Driven document and for the aluminum engine ID tag it says it needs to be in the correct location and visible.  Mine is attached on a bolt that holds the coil mounting in place.  It is not visible at all.  I'm trying to find a picture of where it should correctly be.   Based on researching online it sounds like mine is in the correct location. Just not seeing how it can be "visible".   I've attached a picture of mine.  To get this picture I had to wedge my phone where no human eye could see.

Anyone have a picture they can share with the correct location of the tag?

Thanks!
Eric

As you have found - tough spot to get or take a picture of

Here is an example of one on an unrestored car. Hope this helps
