Anyone got a picture and what head markings?

Do you use a washer and lock washer?
Thanks
Stuart

no lock washer .Just flat washer. The no head marking blank head bolts are the easiest ones to find that were a factory variant.

Bob wouldn't that be correct for "closed letter" black crinkle painted covers?  I believe "open letter" natural finish covers had RWB bolts.

Randy ,he was asking about a 69/70 model closed letter valve cover . You can assume that by the 69/70 category we are in. The earlier years hardware are typically different like the 1966 open /closed transition time frame you are referring to.

Sorry! I didn't see it was in the '69-70 category. At least I was correct that the later covers had smooth top bolts like you had already advised.

Yes the RBW bolts were used through 67.

Did the 68s use the RBW? It seems that I had the RBWs on my 70 by mistake back in 2007 and then put them on my 68 and got the correct 69-70 plain style for them. Seems someone told me back then that 68s used RWBs and 69-70 plain

Why not start a new thread in 68 so others reading can benefit from the info while searching. They might never think to look in 69/70 area.
