Does anybody know how to see projected sales prices for Mecum? I'm interested in bidding on one of the cars at Glendale and I'm unsure if I have a realistic chance of getting it. It is a reserve auction but I don't think they say what the reserve is ahead of time.
Mecum does not give out reserves......you can search recent auctions if you sign up for the Mecum Infonet ( top right of their website)
With prices rising so quickly not sure how accurate any auction more then 60 days old will help.
There is a app for phone called Hammer Price which you can search auctions and see trends on a particular car
Occasionally, and mostly for collections, they will list estimates, which are worth the paper they are no longer written on . . . In a few recent auctions the estimates seemed realistic, but the bids blew right past them. When being a $500 gold bidder meant you could go to any auction, I went to Glendale. With $200 an auction now to bid, I'll stay at home and get some things done.
Listed sold for $203,500 at Glendale, AZ 2022.
Back up for auction at Monterey 2022 in a few weeks - https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0822-520416/1966-shelby-gt350h-fastback/ (https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0822-520416/1966-shelby-gt350h-fastback/)
