Title: radiator question
Post by: azdriver on January 09, 2022, 05:54:52 PM
Radiator in my car is C8ZE-S1  with 8BB date? Assume it is from the other participant in the trans swap which was an auto car as it has trans cooler in it....

The S1 was an assembly line substitute used on big blocks. I'm told it was used only on automatic transmissions. It is valuable.

Also ford serviced the c8ze-s rad as a service replacement for big block and b9s since it works for auto and 4 speed one size fits all.

If you have your build sheet, it lists the radiator that came with your car.  If not, ask around for what original ones are in cars close to yours.  Example: first week March GT500 specifies C8ZE-M; happens to be automatic car.
