Title: Griffith wreck 1980s

I grew up in Springfield Del. co. Pa. and two Brothers, the Goldschmidt's had several Shelbys and Ford  performance cars. one of them rolled this car on a trip around the block in the early 80's

What "around the block". Where did you live, Pike's Peak?

Perhaps the short wheel base and relatively shorter time he owned it led to its demise.

Good story written about how the wreck happened in Mike Mooney's book about the Griffith. Another demo ride gone wrong (and in a residential area to boot.....)

I think that I knew that car? There were three that I knew from around then in the '70s.
I asked Kopec if he knew the owners since I was looking to buy a 200.

He said, "all three of those cars got wrecked since you saw them and the drivers killed".

The term "snap oversteer" came up in talking about the handling.
