Title: Opinion (s)
Post by: 67 GT350 on December 31, 2021, 01:08:16 PM
Just asking, seems nice, is it overpriced? Future value? I am thinking of it for my collection. I know I should not worry about future value, but someday if or when I am gone, I do not want my family to be told it is only worth 20K. Not sure which way this hobby will be going, with what is going on in this Country.

Tough call.  I wouldn't be a customer.  A non 4-speed, non SCJ, Torino GT appeals to a small market.  Made smaller by popularity of the desirable Talladega model and Cobra editions.

Nice car.  Big fan of Torino's.   Own 2 convertibles.  The way I look at is you can't buy one and restore it for that money.  It's not an r code so maybe you can get a better deal.   Good luck

Easy decision you like it, you buy it. Doesn't really matter what others think

Nice cruisers. Good for long trips. Easy to fix.

The 351-2V in a 4000+ pound car kills it for me. Seems to be a nice one but over priced IMHO.

I had a "Boss 351" in my '68 GT350 for a while. It looked good but it wasn't worth the effort. The 347 in the original block now is a much better application. Probably because it is lighter?

My thought is that it is overpriced also..Thanks for confirming. I think they would have me in the 35K range. I think I would like someone to look at it if I was more serious, (rust always worries me)

I bought a car recently in this price range. Seller dropped price $10k to get deal done.

I'd save the money in anticipation of a cataclysmic economic plunge into darkness.  Buy ammunition and long term food supplies, save the rest and wait.  Though Seneca sums it up best.

"Until we have begun to go without them, we fail to realize how unnecessary many things are. We've been using them not because we needed them but because we had them."
~ Seneca

Florida SAAC states it accurately too.

One more for you.
"Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants."
~ Epictetus

As an aside, you already have a kick arse car collection.  Maybe buy gold, silver and lead instead?  Emphasis on lead.

They must be charging a premium for the painted front fender bolts.  :D

Me too - mine had the 428 Ram Air Cobra Jet.
