Title: Upper side scoops
Post by: gt350bp on July 12, 2021, 06:17:07 PM
Just wondering how well the paint coverage was on original upper side scoops. Can anyone share any original paint photos? My car was repainted in the late 70's before I bought it and coverage of the body color inside the upper side scoop is minimal. Was thinking about shooting some body color on the scoops, but would like to get a good idea what would have been acceptable.

Thank you.

100% body color coverage with front opening blacked out.

Thanks Pete!

I guess when they are painted off the car, it is possible for 100% body color coverage inside the scoop. The blackout looks acceptable to me on the front of my scoop, but I only have about 80% coverage inside the scoop with light coverage.
