Title: Control arm slack pitman arm before wheels move
Post by: GT350AUS on July 01, 2021, 04:38:18 AM
How much, if any slack movement, would there be in the pitman arm where it connects to the  control valve before there is movement at the wheel?

Thanks in advance

With engine running there should not be much movent between steering wheel to car wheel. When engine is not running you should see a noticeable amount as that is the movement of the control valve within the assembly. Ideally, there should be zero play between steering wheel and tire/wheel  w/engine running.When/if that is achieved, the system is close to modern systems. Good luck
