Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a early 1965 Ford Mustang NOS FoMoCo alternator fan belt built in late 1964. It would be for a 289 HiPo K code. I belive the part # is C5OE-8620-K. Thanks, very much. Marty 717-675-4179.

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a 1964 to early 1965 Ford Mustang NOS FoMoCo alternator fan belt. It would be for a 289 K code. It would start with a C4 part # not C5. Thanks, very much. Marty 717-675-4179.
Best of luck on your search. It doesn't hurt to ask and you will not find one unless you ask but that the K code alternator belt is one of the hardest items to find . It is on the same difficulty to find level as a assemblyline battery IMO.
Do you have part# or length, etc?
This is in my "rare belts" dept.
C4AE-8620-A. Dated 3-65
I do not know if this will help of hurt but for the 1965 model year Ford Motor Company sent dealer service departments a document named "FORD 289 HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE GENERAL PARTS LIST". I have a photo copy and took a picture of the listing for fan belts.

Hope it is helpful. I have used the list a lot in the last four plus decades with HP289 engine parts hunts.
I suspect that belts were probably date coded.
Bob Mannel's cross reference indicates that:
Part C3OZ-8620-E was marked C2OE-8620-AC, 52.1" L X 15/32" W.
and
Part C5OZ-8620-A was marked C5OE-8620-K, 41.4" L X 15/32" W.
Bob includes pictures of typical belt markings in different time periods.
If you are not a subscriber to Bob's online book, I highly recommend it.
Belt applications have always been rather "difficult" and the Ford parts books had much info, but hard to sift through. Most parts people I know always frowned when looking up belts. I use Mannell's small block book and Ford books, but still need belt ID and length. Were there early/late belts for the Mustangs ,64/65 applications? Did all have the large diameter alt pulley?
