Yes the version for the corresponding year was something that was meant to be included along with the safety hints pamphlet,owners manual ,Shelby owners warranty card and plastic envelope/litter bag. For 69/70 Shelby class a owners manual for appropriate year (69 or 70) and Shelby owners warranty card is all that is expected at this time. The next time the rules are updated at SAAC and or MCA that may change ;) .
All 70 shelby paperwork is different than 69.
