I have been asked this question by a few friends. Who does 69-70 deluxe door panel restoration? I had Gene Painter do a few sets back in the 1990s but my sources say he retired in 2005 and is now deceased? Did anyone take over his business? Other companies? Thanks. Gary
I had a good experience with these guys (not a Mustang door panel, but a '70 Deluxe Camaro set).

The reproduction are pretty good, your friend should have a look at them first.
Gene Painter is alive and well. His son took over the door panel business after he did not want to do them anymore.

Taken from a post on Concours Mustang forum. If you use them can you let me know how they come out? I got several sets I'd like to have restored and Gene(RIP) did a couple of sets for me in the 90s. From April 2023 post: "contact Adam Painter he and his father(since passed away) have restored them for years.
it may take a while but they come out great

I would be happy to let you and the group know. I also went to the just dashes website and that is pretty impressive - I emailed them an inquiry to see what they charge, time frame etc.
I just spoke to Adam and he is no longer doing anything with classic cars etc. He finished up what he had to do for him/his dad over a year ago and will not be going forward with any new business. Super nice guy - We are losing talent at an accelerated pace since COVID - I will let you all know what happens with just dashes
Tony Zankofsky in PA did mine. You need pretty good cores to get a good result. PM me if you'd like his contact info.
