Title: Trunk light
Post by: scottevaca on March 21, 2021, 10:27:34 AM
My 67 gt 350 has a lead in the trunk for a trunk light... it has the courtesy light group from what I can see...is there supposed to be a trunk light in this car? If there was I'm not sure where it would go/attach exactly..... any insight?

The predominate answer is - No Trunk light in a '67 Shelby, the lead is taped-up in the left rear quarter panel.

The all-fiberglass deck lids had no provision for grounding.

(maybe a few very early cars with the steel inner-structure got a light - but even most of those didn't and some frames didn't even have the knocked-out place to mount the light unit.)

Just for clarity ,early cars could come with trunk light . Most later cars did not , in which case lead is as JD described.

Some examples of original early steel-framed deck lids with and without the hole for the light... the first two images are different lids and the third image is a Brittany paint car that got an Acapulco Blue repaint
