I offered to buy a set from a guy and offered a reasonable $1600. He declined and cited this auction. That was over two years ago and they had been up for quite a long time prior to that. . . Wouldn't it be nice if eBay said how long a seller had the same items listed?

Reminds me of the the 1675.00 1969-70 Shelby, 69 Cougar shift knob on eBay for years. A couple of years ago I bought an NOS one off of Jim Cowles(RIP) for 275 here on the forum. Gary
