I removed some dash parts for painting and upon installation of the parts I no longer have power to essentially all parts of the car. This includes the headlights and tail lights, radio, all instrument panel functions and lights, courtesy lights, and the ignition switch (key to the left, start, and run). Most of the wiring in the car is new and everything worked fine before the painting project. The connection between the engine compartment and the interior of the car and all fuses are good. The battery has a full charge. Any ideas on how to proceed would be appreciated.

The console is out of the car and the wires have been from the gauges and taped. I will connected the gauges without installing the console and see how it goes.

Be very careful
Failure to have alternator gauge installed properly and grounded is an invitation for Mr Sparky to come and visit
How is the console grounded to the vehicle?
Its not but each gauge is grounded
Attached is a copy of a photo with notes by a previous owner on wiring for the Alternator Gauge on the left on the Oil Pressure Gauge on the right.
For the Alternator, the photo shows a Black wire on the left side of the vehicle and a Red wire on the right side of the vehicle.
The attached Jim Osborn diagram shows a Red wire on the left side and a Black wire on the Right side.
What is the correct way for measuring the Alternator?
Also, what is the correct wiring for the Oil Pressure Gauge? The photo shows Red on the left and Black on the right.

Oil pressure: green/ black lead is outboard side of gauge closest to gas pedal
Alternator: Red wire goes to negative side of gauge
Which terminal is represented by the negative side of the gauge?
The one behind the "minus" on the face ;)
I believe that is the "inboard" side of the gauge
