Super Gas runs on a 9.90 index, I don't think a 289 was ever run in super gas. You would need about 600 hp to get to that number. That doesn't mean the new owner couldn't slip in a mighty Big Block to get to that number, ;)
...I wonder if it's tubed? ;D

There is a previous thread about this car.
On this site or site that went KaBoooM?
This site, I remember as this car not far from me.
This car was listed a couple of years ago on Craigslist. We talked about it on the old forum.
11 second car on a good day. Might run 9.90 falling off the Empire State building. The fuel injection is worse than a modern manifold and single carb.
Gotta love the period correct can collection!
Where are the inner fenders with the K#?

Thanks for the smile you just gave me . ;D
My car runs very low 11's with 500 hp so the math isn't too tough. I am looking forward to making a few runs on it at SAAC 43 ! Maybe I can get you in it for a pass Bob! Maybe just a burnout and 60' launch. Lasts about 1.5 seconds.

Oh Ok if you insist. ;) ;D
Randy,
Where does the line start. I want to get there early....
Honestly it completely depends on the track Manager. She and I are long time friends and I "may" get and exemption for some 60' "hits" with a passenger. Passengers are not allowed on cars faster than 14 second ETs and mine is a little faster than that. BUT "if" she respects my honesty it "might be possible". Passengers will HAVE to supply their own "incontinence product".
Randy
I would be open to someone installing a go pro or similar camera so everyone could "ride along".
