Title: Rearview mirror recommendations for 69 Shelby
Post by: SChatman on February 16, 2021, 08:57:29 PM
Day/Night Rearview mirror recommendations for 69 Shelby, my mirror is in rough shape and I need to replace it, is there a concourse replacement out there that I haven't found yet?
I've seen a Dynacorn reproduction that looks pretty good in pictures but has anyone compared one to an original?

I hope someone knows! My Boss's mirror is horrible, bought one from CJP and it was so bad, I left my original one in the car.

Have you thought about resilvering the mirror?  usually the outer rubber is not bad and can be cleaned up.

Is there a place to send them?

Yes.   Me..    Just did a batch awhile back.   Getting ready to do another.  YOU have to heat up your mirror and remove the glass.

I purchased an old original 66 Mustang mirror at a swap meet. I sent it to Joyce Borrell https://mirrorladypa.com/ . She does amazing work. Check out her website. I attached a photos of pre and post restoration. Excellent work.

Thanks everyone, has anyone tried the Dynacorn repro? The picture looks good but who knows how it actually looks...

If you haven't seen it - here is a nice vid from Don Rush at WCCC on rearview mirrors and replacing the glass.
