Hi---have checked all the articles and no luck on color for 1969 Shelby gt 500 June production [front springs]--thank U

thank U---however my issue is with actual black color , are they semi or satin and are they painted or dipped

IMHO typically not painted except for service replacements. Have tried to confirm this over the years many times by applying paint stripper on the original surface and never got any reaction. Have instead finished them just like the oil quenched rear leaf springs

Any method that will provide a dark heat treated look will work that does not use high heat. Insta-Black is used by some for the purpose

thank U for advice----have checked with manufacturer and stuff is available---however being apprehensive to start something new , is there anyone that actually does it--thank U

Only have seen home hobbyist and owners do the process. Pretty easy.  Each makes their own choice of who's products to use for both the coloring and oiling after. Some will heat the metal (both front and rear springs) to remove any moisture that is left and to open the pores in the metal on the surface to accept the oil for possibly a little better penetration
