Title: Power brake pedal and clutch pedal misalighment
Post by: 6s1640 on January 07, 2021, 02:20:42 AM
Hi all,

Can someone tell me what is a the misalignment between their cars power brake pedal and clutch pedal on their 68 GT350/500/KR or Mustang.  Is there a misalignment because the pedals have different pivot points?  I am use to seeing them pretty much inline.  Attached are images to help illustrate the question.

Thank you

Cory

That looks correct. The brake pedal should sit higher.

The pedal bracket in your first photo has been modified, but it does not appear to be effecting alignment

Do you have the correct rectangular rebound bumper on the support?

Hi Coralsnake,

Thank you for responding to my request.  I did not have my pedal set up to photograph, so I used images found on the internet to illustrate my question.  I am understanding on the 67-68 pedals with clutch and  power brakes do have the misalignment, maybe by a 1.5 inch or so.  Was this misalignment actually intended or an over site?  I believe the manual brake and clutch pedals do line up nice.  Seams odd to me.

Thanks

Cory

It is intentional. From memory and inch sounds about right .
