What is the color of the tach wire to the coil ? Mine is currently blue -
Thanks,

As far as I know it should be red.

Dave,
Here is a drawing showing the Tach wiring. I put an in-line 2amp fuse on the red wire to protect the tach.
Learnt the hard way after frying the tach twice after a faulty condenser caused the problem.

Anyone ever successfully use a Pertronics ignition with an original 65 Tach?
Thanks J.D.,
I had it in a TIF file.

Been while since I have had opportunity to look at wiring for 65 GT350 tach and oil gauge.
There are 3 wires to the 65 GT350 tach.
1, Red signal wire from Distributor side of the coil to the red post on tach.
2. Blue power wire from 14 Amp fuse in the fuse block to the Blue post on tach.
3. White from center hole in Blue-Red wire with a 3 port plug under dash to White post on tach. Power to tach and oil gauge lights.
The tach and oil gauge are both grounded to dash using a Y shaped harness.
Am I mistaken in that the Blue wire from fuse block to blue post on tach is always "hot"? Blue wire from fuse block does not appear to be "switched power".
