Title: 68 GT350 Vacuum Canister Location
Post by: Smity on November 23, 2020, 05:24:38 PM
Does anyone have a photo of where and how the vacuum canister for the swing-away steering column is mounted under the battery tray?  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

If your car had tilt and the panel is original then it should be obvious when you look under the battery tray area. If installing tilt on a previously non tilt car or a original replacement panel then there should be som locating dimples for the the two mounting studs and the center vacuum nipple . If a aftermarket replacement panel then you will have to estimate the location . It isn't super critical. I posted a picture of the dimples on a original panel to use as a reference. I hope this helps.

Early cars did not have tilt, so please take that into account as well.
