Title: Holes above Rear License Plate in 1968 GT350
Post by: Corey Bowcutt on March 22, 2018, 12:18:21 PM
I have three holes above the rear license plate in my 1968 GT350.  The wiring for the rear license plate lamp goes thru one of these holes but currently there is nothing in the other two.

Are these holes suppose to be there?  If so do they get plugged with anything?  Is there suppose to be anything in the hole where the license plate wiring comes out of to prevent water from getting in?

Thank you, Corey

The other 2 holes do not belong, someone has added them. Maybe for air shock valves? The license plate wire should have a woven like protective cover with a molded on grommet to seal the hole.

Thank you Rodney.  Can you or anyone tell me which is the correct hole?

Corey
The license plate lamp wire should come through the right outboard hole.
