Title: Cylinder Thermactor Tube “plug”. Suggestions
Post by: Craner on September 30, 2020, 06:12:41 PM
Seeking advice on what to use to plug the thermactor tube holes in a  428CJ head.
I know that  Ford offered a part number for that application.. when removing the smog setup.
FORD CYLINDER HEAD PLUG C6AZ-6052-A
Has anyone used them?
Comments or suggestions to use these or something else?
I'd like to have these plugs run down to the exhaust port surface and provide a direct exhaust exit with limited chamber turbulence.
Thanks
Fran

Use the Ford plugs. They are tapered and have the correct thread pitch
