Can someone put a number to the car and the owner ... This was at a SAAC convention my son then 7-8 now 35... was wandering/missing I found him and the owner discussing the Cobra... let him sit in it, took him for a ride and they hung out all weekend... My 67 gt500 just was not a Cobra. This is what the club meant to me all these years and made my son the keeper of the key for the Shelby marque..
The venue looks like Charlotte, NC, which would likely have been the 1987 convention. I am thinking the car is CSX 3197 and the owner at the time was Jack Browning of Roanoke, VA.

Don't doubt your knowledge about cobras and conventions but the cars in the background, Geo tracker made in 89 and 90.
white car possible dodge neon or other chrysler product. red convertible late 94+ mustang convertible? I could be wrong.

Not wrong, Red Mustang is 94-94.
I'm thinking Indy in 1994 SAAC 19
There was also SAAC 26 Charlotte in 01, SAAC 23 in 98
OK.....I'll play......It could be SAAC-20, July '95 @ Atlanta...............based upon the banking of the track, the box seating above the 'old' track(before reconfiguation) and the cars/licsense plate in the backround...of course Ned is correct ..CSX3197

+1, The taillights changed in 96, that style in the photo would make it a 94-95. Of course 93 would be a foxbody.
