Title: 68 Automatic shift lever
Post by: shelbydoug on August 15, 2020, 03:06:32 PM
I need an entire shift lever assembly for my 68 GT350.

The aftermarket is listing two varieties. One with a console. One without. This is news to me.

Is there anyone here who can comment positively on this? Confirm or deny? If so, which one do the cars use?

No console version used on Shelby

67-68 regular Mustang automatic with console used a different lever, but not Shelby.

So 1) there is a console version 2) original Shelby did not use the console version. Correctamundo?

Correct

Console refers to the Mustang console. It includes two mounting tabs on the housing

You want the non console version to prevent installation problems with the custom Shelby console
