Were all 69 Shelby GT 500 Fastback's originally Mach 1's?
Well, kind of....it depends on the bodystyle.
There were no Mach 1 convertibles
Its also why you get the "5" suffix appearing on warranty tag color codes.
I'm familiar with the car and this Marti Report..
It's been corrected by Kevin Marti

Yes, that much I know, I just didn't know they used Mach 1's for the Fastbacks, I'll correct that. Were they shipped for Shelby conversions less the Front End, Shaker, Deck Lid, End Caps and Side Scoops?

The Car is posted on this site for sale. I just happen to read the MR and saw the Mach 1 reference.

Yes, they often used "slave hoods and decklids"
And the fastbacks will have Mach 1 hood pin holes in radiator support

Not typical on a convert from the factory for a non replaced radiator support .

Did all 69 fastback Shelbys have the radiator support holes? I heard it was an early/ late thing but wasn't sure.
not that I'm a concours guy but enjoy learning just the same!!
Resurrecting topic: Should 69/70 Shelby fastbacks have hood pin holes in radiator support...or was it early/late situation?
Working on a 2/26/69 built.
Thanks
