I believe this was the plate included with warranty? I have yet to find 1966 decode information that would decode the "89" for this plate.... Any help appreciated! Also, G for engine.

6 = 1966
Y = Wixom, MI
89 = ? I can't find anyone online
G (engine) = ?
446xxx = consecutive unit number

F = light blue paint
72 = blue trim?
14D = 14th April, 1966
52 = Des Moines
6 = 2.80:1
4 = C6 Automatic XPL

Since Pete took care of the decoding the plate - once detached from the door tag, would have been attached to the temporary paper based warranty card

Actually it decodes as follows:

6 = 1966
Y = Wixom, MI
89 = Two Door Hardtop
G (engine) =462 CI
446xxx = consecutive unit number
F = Diamond Blue paint
72 = Blue Crinkle Leather With Blue Frond Cloth
14D = 14th April, 1966
52 = Los Angeles
6 = 2.80:1
4 = C6 Automatic XPL

Lincoln Mercury used different DSO codes than Ford.  If you had a Lincoln shop manual you would have all this information.
