Title: Round bare spots
Post by: DRGT350 on July 24, 2020, 09:26:31 PM
Forum -
Were there 4 or 6 round spots with no paint ( primer or other ) on the underside ( no paint as the cars were supported there?
Not sure on 4 or 6 - as were the two oval holes near radiator support also with the bare spot?
And.. what is the diameter of the spots ?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge and help !

Dave

Twelve total if you count inside the car and under. You'll want to reproduce the look of galvanized steel for some locations and bare steel at others and leave the simulators in place during all of the painting steps for the car. These are also covered in the undercarriage article thread below. Link to that article there. Page #6

The oval holes were for the dolly and served dual purpose of being able to accept the tie down hooks when the vehicle was transported

Talking '65's here, should only be 12.
